When is the best time to service your AC?

A: The best time to have your AC unit serviced is sometime in the early spring before the weather gets too hot. It needs to be warm enough for the AC to run so that the contractors can properly service the unit. However, as the weather warms up, repair companies get more and more calls. It’s best to tackle the project ahead of time so your unit is at 100% on that first hot day.

What is the best temperature to have your system at?

A: The simple answer is: whatever temperature makes you comfortable. Most people feel most comfortable with their thermostat set between 73°F and 79°F. Depending on the humidity of your home and how active you are, your preferred temperature will vary.

How do I know if I need HVAC repair service?

A: The most obvious sign is if your house doesn’t get get to the right temperature no matter how you set your thermostat. Some other signs include no air blowing from vents, poor air flow, and strange sounds coming from your unit. You may also notice a strange smell in your house if your unit has electrical failure or if there is mold in your unit or ductwork.
